Sage Line 50 Desktop

The title bar shows the name of the window. If more than one window is open, the title bar for the active window (the one in which you are working) has a different colour (normally darker) to the title bars of the other windows.

The Sage Line 50 menu bar contains nine separate menus each with its own set of options. To open a menu, click on the menu name or press ALT + LETTER at the same time, where LETTER is the underlined letter in the menu name. For example, to open the File menu, press ALT + F.

The desktop toolbar is a series of buttons that activate the Sage Line 50 main options. Click once with the left-hand mouse button on a toolbar button to run an option in its own window on the desktop.
You can only use the desktop toolbar with a mouse. To run the options from the toolbar without a mouse, open the Modules menu and choose the option required.
If all of the options in Sage Line 50 do not appear on your screen use the arrow keys to display more.
You can change the position and appearance of your toolbar. For example, you can add a background bitmap of your choice to your toolbar.

The Control menu box is in the upper-left corner of each window. Choose the Control menu box to open the control menu, which lets you move, size and close a window.
To close a window you can double-click with the left-hand mouse button on the control menu box.

If you are using Sage Line 50 Single User the status bar shows the Sage Line 50 for Windows name and the program date. If you are using the network version of Sage Line 50, the status bar displays the station name and user name.

When you run Sage Line 50 the desktop window appears. Use the desktop to run the accounting options and open the menus available within Sage Line 50.
